They speak of a wraith who haunts the forest’s heart—a man twisted by the weight of his own sins, cursed to wander beneath a canopy that knows no dawn. The Night Hunter, they call him. Stripped of sight, denied the taste of food or drink, yet cursed with a hunger that gnaws through eternity.
The oldest records speak of him: a bare figure, youthful and unmarked, drifting soundlessly between trees older than memory. But something changed. With every soul taken—so the villagers say—he is altered. His body bears fresh sigils, patterns of soot or ink that shift with the wind and the season, as if the forest itself inscribes them. His form withers and matures with each life consumed, like a story being told on flesh.
No two accounts describe him the same. A spirit, a man, a monster—but always watching. Always hunting.
